Rocky Parra
Varsity Head Coach

Rocky Parra has been coaching at Hamilton since 2013.  In his time at Hamilton, he has led the Huskies to back-to-back state championships in 2016 and 2017.  Prior to coaching at Hamilton, Rocky worked with pitchers and hitters at Basha High School and Red Mountain High School.  From 1996-2002, Rocky helped coach at Mountain Pointe High School and won a state championship in 1999.  From 1987-1990, Rocky helped coach at Chaparral High School and won a state championship in 1989.  Rocky’s coaching career started in 1982 when his oldest daughter, Susie, started playing 10u. As far as his own playing career, Rocky started playing college ball at Colorado State University, then Mesa Community College, and then finished his career at NAU in 1970.  He played his last fastpitch tournament at the age of 67.  Rocky enjoys working with softball players of all ages and gives lessons to young pitchers and hitters.  He also spends a lot of time with his family: his wife Bev, his children, and his many grandchildren.

Lauren Regester has been coaching at Hamilton since the 2016 season.  A product of Chandler Unified, Coach Regester loves being back in this school district. She played college ball at Grand Canyon University. As a coach, Regester loves breaking down difficult concepts into manageable parts, finding fun and competitive drills to mimic game-time pressure, and being on the field next to some of the most talented softball players in Arizona.

Isabella Loomis joined the Husky coaching staff in the Fall of 2022. She is no stranger to the program, as she graduated from here in 2017.    

Piper Lujan
Varsity Assistant

Piper Lujan joined the Hamilton Softball program in the Fall of 2022. She is also teaching Social Studies on campus.

Mike Redding has been coaching at Hamilton since the school opened in 1998. Previously, he coached softball at Chandler High School for seven years.  In addition to high school ball, Redding has also been an active member on the Chandler Girls Softball Board.  He served on the board for 13 years, and he was the President for six years. Redding’s own career started when he played baseball through his high school years and then played college men’s fastpitch softball in Tucson.  Redding loves working with softball players of all ages.
